We are just a few days away from the start of the NZTSA Team Sailing National Championships now! Hopefully all teams are excited and ready to get stuck into a big week of racing, the forecast looks like a good range of conditions for everyone!

There is a full schedule of everything important that’s happening available below:

Registration will be open from 13:00 to 17:30 on Saturday at the Mahurangi Community Centre, in the Betty Paxton Room.

Competitors Briefing will follow registration at 18:00 on Saturday in the main hall at the Mahurangi Community Centre.

There is an optional weigh-in between 9:30 and 10:15 on Sunday morning for those sailors that have a genuine reason for not being able to make the weigh-in. If you wish to use this option, you must get in touch with Jamie (nztsasecretary@gmail.com or 028 418 2067) directly beforehand.

Racing is scheduled to begin at 12:00 on Sunday 25th April, following the daily briefing at 10:30. On every other day the briefing will be held at 8:15 at the Algies Bay Yacht Club.

Rules/Tactics Session – There is going to be a tactics/rules session held on the Monday evening to help teams on ways to improve their racing over the course of the week. This is mostly directed at teams that are attending the regatta without a coach, but all teams are welcome to attend. This will also take place at the Mahurangi Community Centre.

Manager’s Meeting – This will take place on the Thursday evening at the Mahurangi Community Centre, teams are encouraged to send at least one representative.

Prize-Giving/Barbecue – All teams are invited to attend the prize-giving and informal barbecue, roughly one hour after racing concludes on Friday 30th April at the Algies Bay YC. Note: Formal School Dress is not required this year as the dinner is non-formal.
